This Privacy Policy applies to all mobile applications developed and published by LAFVIN on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store (collectively, the "Apps"). Our Apps are designed to work in conjunction with our educational hardware kits, such as Arduino and ESP32-based STEM kits (e.g., Smart Farm, Robot Cars, Sensor Modules).

This policy explains how our Apps collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Our core philosophy for educational Apps is strict privacy protection:

  • No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or share personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
  • No Account Required: You do not need to create an account or register to use our Apps.
  • No Cloud Storage: We do not upload your data to our servers or any third-party cloud services. All operations and data processing occur locally on your mobile device and the connected LAFVIN hardware kit.

2. Permissions Required by the Apps and Why We Need Them

To provide full functionality when connecting to our hardware kits, our Apps may request the following device permissions:

  • Location Permission (Approximate/Precise):
    Why it's needed: Android's operating system requires Location permissions to perform Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or Wi-Fi scans to discover and connect to nearby LAFVIN hardware kits (e.g., ESP32 or Bluetooth modules).
    How it's used: We do not track, store, or share your actual physical location. The permission is used exclusively for hardware discovery and connection.
  • Bluetooth Permission (Connect/Scan):
    Why it's needed: To communicate with LAFVIN hardware kits via Bluetooth.
  • Camera Permission (If applicable):
    Why it's needed: Some specific kits (like AI Robot Cars) may require the camera to provide FPV (First Person View) video streaming or object recognition.
    How it's used: The video feed is transmitted locally between the hardware kit and your phone. We do not record, upload, or analyze your camera feed on our servers.
  • Local Network / Wi-Fi Permission:
    Why it's needed: To connect to ESP32 or Wi-Fi-enabled modules operating on the same local network.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Our Apps are designed for educational purposes and may be used by children. Since our Apps do not collect or transmit any personal information to the internet, they fully comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families Policy. Parents can feel safe allowing their children to use our Apps to interact with our STEM kits.

4. Third-Party Services

Our Apps do not contain third-party advertising networks or analytics trackers (such as Google Analytics or Firebase) that collect user behavior data. The Apps are completely ad-free.

5. Data Security

Since no personal data is collected or transmitted over the internet by our Apps, there is no risk of your data being intercepted or breached from our servers. All communication happens locally between your smartphone and the LAFVIN hardware via Bluetooth or local Wi-Fi.
