Description
Product Introduction:
POE HAT is an Ethernet power-supply expansion board fully compatible with Raspberry Pi 3B+/4B/5. Compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at standards, it draws power directly from a PoE switch through a single network cable; on-board 12 V/2 A and 5 V/4.5 A independent DC outputs deliver ample power to the Raspberry Pi and peripherals.
Product Features:
Strong compatibility: supports Raspberry Pi 3B+/4B/5, with fast model switching via one 2.54 mm 2×P connector.
Rich interfaces: keeps the standard 40-pin GPIO header for stacking other Raspberry Pi add-ons; additional 12 V/2 A and 5 V/4.5 A external power ports feed external devices directly.
Easy to use: simply snap on the POE HAT and plug in the 2×2P connector—no extra setup required.
Mechanical friendly: reserves space for active cooling and provides cable exit slots above every terminal for tidy wiring.
Precautions:
1. Do not connect power to the Raspberry Pi USB-C port while using the PoE HAT—doing so may damage the board.
2. The PoE HAT works with Raspberry Pi 3B+, 4B and 5, but the official Pi 5 active cooler is compatible only with Raspberry Pi 5.
3. 3. Keep the total continuous power below 25 W; it is recommended to reserve a 20 % margin for stability. If peripherals draw high power, use a switch that supports 802.3at and can supply at least 30 W.
